About Me
Quarterback Development with Purpose
I’m Shane Illingworth—former 4-star quarterback, Under Armour All-American, and D1 athlete at Oklahoma State and the University of Nevada. I’ve trained under some of the best QB coaches in the country, including Jordan Palmer and Tim Rattay, and now I’m taking everything I’ve learned and pouring it into the next generation.
At Worth Athletics, I coach quarterbacks of all ages and levels—whether you're just starting out or grinding to earn that college offer. We cover everything: footwork, mechanics, football IQ, timing, leadership, and game prep. Every session is focused, intentional, and built around real development.
But this is bigger than just football.
My faith drives everything I do. I believe in building strong athletes on the field and stronger men in the community. My goal isn’t just to coach QBs—it’s to help shape disciplined, confident leaders who know their worth and carry it with them in life.
This is just the beginning. Worth Athletics isn’t about me—it’s about the impact.
3 Pillars of Quarterbacking
-
Technique
Mechanics + Footwork
This is your foundation. We train sharp footwork, clean throwing mechanics, and efficient pocket movement to create rhythm, timing, and consistency. Great technique makes complex plays look simple—and holds up when the game speeds up. -
IQ
Understanding the Game
A high-level QB doesn’t just react—they anticipate. We focus on coverage recognition, pre-snap reads, post-snap adjustments, and situational awareness. The goal is to develop a quarterback who processes fast and makes the right decision every time. -
Heart
Leadership, Toughness, Passion
You can have all the tools, but without heart—it doesn’t matter. Heart is how you respond when it’s not going your way. It’s your discipline, your energy, your will to lead. We build quarterbacks who compete with passion and lead with purpose.
